Dapol have revealed EP samples for their new N Gauge Class 87, announced last year.
The first and most complete 1st shot represents locomotives similar to 2D-087-003 Class 87 Robert Burns 87035 Virgin Trains:
The second 1st shot represents locomotives similar to 2D-087-005 Class 87 Stephenson 87101 BR Blue:
The third 1st shot is a body shell only and represents locomotives similar to 2D-087-006 Class 87 Royal Sovereign 87002 Caledonian Sleeper:
The forth 1st shot is again a body shell only and represents locomotives similar to 2D-087-001 Class 87 Hal'o 'the Wynd 87031 BR Blue:

Dapol state that The design team are currently reviewing the 1st shots and preparing comments to help the factory to make any necessary improvements. One area that is being particularly scrutinized is the pantographs. We expect to have finished models in stores by Q3 2024.
