The second version of Kato's well received N Gauge Class 800 has now arrived with stockists and represents the Class 800/2 variant used by LNER on the East Coast Mainline.
Branded by LNER as 'Azuma', which translated from Japanese means 'East', the model features some subtle differences to the previous GWR release, included a correctly tooled Motor Second with blanked out windows where the micro buffet is located and correctly oriented seating in the Motor Composite coach.
The LNER livery has been beautifully applied, with the fine stripes of the window band and seat numbering panels next to each door being of particular note.
