On display at the N Gauge Society's celebration of N Gauge modelling event held at the NRM in York, Revolution Trains had the first engineering samples for their N Gauge London Underground 1938 Stock.
This is the first ready to run London Underground stock produced in N Gauge, and comes with some challenges around getting a mechanism into such a low profile unit.
Revolution Trains are offering the 1938 stock in two complementary packs configured as per the real 7-car sets made up of a 4-car set and a 3-car set. The 4-car pack consists of: “A” motor – Trailer – Non-Driving Motor (NDM) – “D’ motor. For a full 7-car set you will need to combine the 4-car pack with the 3-car add-on pack. A two car pack will be available for the Isle of Wight units.
The Revolution model is planned to feature:
Detailed bodyshells with separate flush-glazing
One car motorised
DCC socket in each driving car (ie both A and D driving motors cars in a 4-car unit)
Moulded interiors
Working head and tail lights
Saloon lighting (non-motor cars only)
Alternative couplers for ends to enable sets to be run in multiple (simple bar couplings in set)
The 1938 stock is now available to pre-order direct from Revolution Trains with the following liveries available:
London Transport Maroon
London Underground Bus Red
Network South East
Island Line Maroon (branded and unbranded both available)
